Plan how you will get there
Check the organizer's current daily notice and pin the exact venue, whether it is Haenggung Plaza, a fortress gate, palace grounds, or another named site. Saving only ‘Suwon Hwaseong’ is not precise enough. Plan the Seoul-to-Suwon rail trip separately from local travel between Suwon Station and the heritage district. The fortress crosses slopes, gates, roads, and residential neighborhoods, so choose a section that suits the group's mobility and the weather. Save the Korean venue name offline, and follow current crowd or road-control instructions.
Plan the trip back
Choose when you need to leave before committing to a nighttime program or a long wall section. Check the full route from your actual final venue back to Suwon Station or your accommodation, including the walk out, possible street controls, and the local connection. A stop or road used on arrival may not be available when a large crowd leaves. Keep a shorter ground-level exit, the exact destination in Korean, and a legal road alternative. If the program runs late, skip an optional fortress segment rather than risk missing the train.
Check again on the event day
- Check the official festival page again for your chosen 2026 date, exact venue, reservation or admission rule, cancellation, and weather notice.
- Do not use program times or transport controls still labeled for 2025; wait for a clearly dated 2026 update from the organizer.
- Choose a fortress section that suits the group's mobility and the weather, and keep a lower, shorter exit for times when the slopes are unsuitable.
- Check the local connection to Suwon Station from your actual final stop before adding food, shopping, or another night program.
