Start this King the Land route in Jeju, not Seoul
VISITKOREA identifies Moseulpo Port, Gapado Island, Handam Coastal Trail, and Parnas Hotel Jeju in its King the Land course, spread over roughly 68 kilometers. They are not one Seoul or even one compact Jeju walk. For a responsible day, use Moseulpo as the gateway to Gapado and make the island the fixed anchor. The Aewol coast and Jungmun hotel area belong to different travel days unless an overnight itinerary and road plan genuinely support them. Using the correct geography prevents travelers from setting aside central-Seoul time for places that require a flight, island transport, and weather-dependent local movement.
Build the day around the Moseulpo-to-Gapado chain
The official KTO course places Moseulpo Port before Gapado, where a bicycle-date sequence was filmed. Reach the correct port through current Jeju bus or licensed road transport and verify the passenger-vessel operator, ticket, identification, boarding point, sailing, and return before departure. Weather and sea conditions can cancel or change service. A map of the island does not prove a bicycle rental, luggage facility, or accessible path is available. Keep documents and essential medicine with the traveler, obey crew instructions, and preserve the last safe return sailing. If the vessel does not operate, remain on mainland Jeju and use a confirmed public attraction near Moseulpo rather than seeking an unofficial boat.
Move through Gapado as a lived island
Gapado has residents, farms, coastal roads, passenger movements, and seasonal landscapes. Follow marked public routes, keep out of fields and private yards, yield to local vehicles, and use only authorized bicycle or mobility services. The green-barley scenery highlighted by tourism media is seasonal and should not be promised outside its actual cycle. Strong sun, wind, and limited shade can make a seemingly short loop demanding. Choose a walking distance that leaves a generous return margin at the harbor. Do not fly a drone or stage a large romantic shoot without current permission. The island's real community and ecology are the destination; the drama connection is an interpretive layer, not a claim over the landscape.
Do not present a hotel lobby as guaranteed public access
VISITKOREA documents the Parnas Hotel Jeju lobby as part of the series' main hotel setting. That does not grant entry to guest floors, pools, lounges, restaurants, event rooms, gardens, parking areas, or the lobby during controlled operations. Check the hotel's current first-party visitor policy and make a legitimate reservation when a public service is desired. Respect guests and staff, keep luggage and cameras out of circulation, and accept refusal without negotiation. The hotel sits in the Jungmun cluster, separate from Moseulpo and Gapado. Include it only on a booked stay or independently planned Jungmun day; never race from the ferry merely to photograph an occupied hospitality interior.
Reserve Handam Coastal Trail for an Aewol day
Handam Coastal Trail lies on the Aewol side of Jeju, far from the southwestern island gateway. If it becomes the anchor, pair it with a small number of nearby public stops and check wind, waves, rain, path maintenance, and bus or parking conditions. Do not place it after Gapado simply because both appear in the KTO course. Coastal paths can close or become slippery, and cafés along the route remain independent businesses with their own customer policies. A traveler based near Jeju City may reasonably choose Handam instead of Gapado; a traveler based in Jungmun may choose the hotel area. Choose one of these alternatives instead of trying to cover three corners of the island.
Verify the island, hotel, and coast through different operators
VISITKOREA confirms the production relationships, Jeju's live bus system and airport source cover transport, the passenger-vessel operator controls Gapado sailings, and the hotel controls its property. Recheck the boat time, fare, bus route, bicycle availability, hotel access, and seasonal conditions immediately before each part of the trip. Keep the route narrow: arrive at Moseulpo, complete a lawful Gapado visit in suitable weather, and return with margin. Handam and Jungmun are substitute clusters. When marine service stops, use the mainland fallback instead of racing across Jeju to collect another screen location.
