Start with the four Suwon locations that have named scene links
Korea Tourism Organization gives four useful scene anchors in Suwon. Haenggung-dong Mural Village appears in Our Beloved Summer and also supplies the school-route setting on its Lovely Runner walk. Hwahongmun Gate is linked to the Lovely Runner confession scene, while Banghwasuryujeong Pavilion is linked to the bicycle lesson. Irwol Botanic Garden represents Queen of Tears, and Namporu at Suwon Hwaseong represents Twenty-Five Twenty-One. Save these official pairings beside the Korean place names. Other heritage, food, or viewpoint stops can improve the day, but they should not be described as filming locations unless the source says so.
Choose one of three route shapes
The most compact choice is KTO's roughly 790-metre Lovely Runner sequence: Haengnidan Street, Haenggung-dong Mural Village, Hwahongmun Gate, then Banghwasuryujeong Pavilion. The broader official Suwon course runs about 3.39 kilometres from the Suwon Hwaseong Special Tourist Zone through the mural village and Suwon Chicken Street to Flying Suwon; use it when heritage, a meal, and a viewpoint matter as much as one drama. The third choice joins Irwol Botanic Garden with Namporu. Those two are in different parts of Suwon, so plan a current bus or licensed-taxi transfer between them. They are not one walk, and squeezing them around the two Hwaseong courses makes a poor first visit.
Transfer from Suwon Station to the chosen first stop
Treat Suwon Station as the intercity anchor, not the beginning of every walking route. After arriving from Seoul, use Suwon's current transport information to reach Haengnidan Street or the Hwaseong area for either central course. For the Irwol option, route directly to Irwol Botanic Garden, then make a separate local transfer to Namporu. Put the scene that matters most first, and save Suwon Station 수원역 as the return destination before leaving it. Check the rail operator again before the return instead of building the day around a fixed last-train claim. Large luggage will make the mural lanes and fortress terrain harder, so leave it at accommodation or a facility whose availability has been confirmed for that day.
Match the scene, then respect the place in front of you
The mural village is a lived-in neighborhood, while Hwahongmun, Banghwasuryujeong, and Namporu are heritage spaces with ordinary visitors and site rules. Stay on public paths, keep voices down on residential lanes, and do not block a doorway to recreate a school-route frame. At the gates and pavilion, use the official visitor route rather than climbing onto walls or moving beyond a barrier for the camera angle. Irwol is a working botanical garden, so its current admission and photography notices control the visit. A screen match is worthwhile only when the public place remains undisturbed; if an angle depends on private access, take a wider streetscape photograph and move on.
Use the non-filming stops as deliberate fallbacks
The central courses already contain useful fallbacks. Chicken Street is a meal option between the mural village and Flying Suwon, not a filming claim. The Hwaseong walls, gates, and official visitor areas remain worthwhile if a residential lane is uncomfortable. Flying Suwon can be removed when its current operation or weather conditions do not suit the group; the route can simply finish within the fortress area. On the compact walk, skip a crowded photo point and continue to the next public heritage stop. For the Irwol–Namporu pair, cancel the second transfer if it would threaten the return to Seoul. Do not replace a missed stop with an address copied from an unsourced fan map.
Keep the route labels exact
Before departure, open the KTO Suwon course, Lovely Runner walk, and Queen of Tears location article beside Suwon's transport page. Keep the published sequence intact when describing it: Haengnidan Street–mural village–Hwahongmun–Banghwasuryujeong for the compact walk, or Hwaseong tourist zone–mural village–Chicken Street–Flying Suwon for the broader course. Label Irwol Botanic Garden and Namporu as a transferred pair. Check current public access, weather, and transport independently because a filming article does not guarantee them. If a place or connection cannot be confirmed, remove that segment rather than inventing a substitute scene.
